Balmes Residence Art Collection

Located in a modernist building from the early 20th century, it retains all of the materials of the period, cement-tiled floors, sumptuous marble fireplaces, fine hardwoods, coffered ceilings, original frescoes, stucco mouldings, and many other highlights.

Among its most unique features are, without doubt, the fully-restored frescoes painted on its ceilings depicting romantic allegories.

Similar to the Balmes Hotel, part of the collection of African art is exhibited inside the guest rooms. Particularly striking is the major representation of Tuareg tribal art.
