UK – Bicester Village near London (BicesterVillage.com)
From 29 October to 24 December, bellboys will be on hand to welcome and assist guests arriving at Bicester Village – and with opening hours from 9 am to 9 pm Monday to Saturday, and 10 am to 7 pm on Sundays, guests can shop late into the evening this season. Special shopping events will take place every Thursday from 5 November to 17 December, offering guests entertainment, music and a charming festive fair. In addition, specially commissioned work from four artists of fig-2* in association with Outset Contemporary Art Fund will be shown, creating a magical atmosphere in the Village, which will be heightened by the installation of 40 stunning Christmas trees, courtesy of The Tree Barn at Christmas Common. From 26 October, guests can travel direct by train from London Marylebone to the newly opened Bicester Village Station in as little as 46 minutes.
France – La Vallée Village near Paris (LaValleeVillage.com)
Christmas arrives at La Vallée Village from 1 November, with twinkling lights and decorations to bring the festive season to life. Until 31 December, the Village will celebrate ‘The Art of Giving’ with the installation of four elegant stands that offer guests special activities. The activities will be themed around ‘The Art of Precision’, ‘The Art of Emotion’, ‘The Art of Surprise’ and ‘The Art of Presentation’, and will include calligraphy, origami demonstrations and bauble personalisation. For guests with an interest in the arts, a special Shopping Package in collaboration with Le Grand Palais – including priority tickets to the Elisabeth Louise Vigée Le Brun exhibition – is available until 11 January at LaValleeVillage.com.
Spain – La Roca Village near Barcelona (LaRocaVillage.com) and Las Rozas Village near Madrid (LasRozasVillage.com)
Christmas is indulgent at La Roca Village this year, with a special programme inspired by gastronomy. Guests can treat themselves and those they love at the Christmas market, in addition to a gourmet pop-up boutique, which sells the very best of local products. Carol singers are set to perform in the Village, while guests can discover how to create ‘a perfect Christmas table’, in addition to other entertainment available as they browse the boutiques. Through various activities, La Roca Village will raise funds this Christmas for Save the Children. Over in Madrid, Las Rozas Village will kick off celebrations from the end of November, when the Village will sparkle with festive lights and Christmas decorations. A series of special initiatives will also take place to raise funds for the Red Cross to help children in need.
