Summer is warming up at La Terraza del Urban! Hotel Urban is taking advantage of the season to celebrate the 15th anniversary of its recently revamped terrace space, inspired by the natural environment and the sky over Madrid.
To highlight the occasion, Hotel Urban has also created a fun new menu with its 15 signature cocktails from throughout these 15 years.
Hotel Urban was the first urban hotel in Madrid to open a rooftop venue to the general public back in 2004, following the tradition of the Derby Hotels Collection Group. Since then, it has remained at the forefront, bringing guests and visitors the best leisure opportunities.
The new Madrid sky
The renovated rooftop terrace at Terraza del Urban is made up of two different areas. A chill-out lounge -with canopies and sun loungers and an area with high and low tables- and then the Cocktail Bar -showcased in glass partitions with direct access to the pool and sun deck.
A rooftop venue inspired by nature, decked out with a variety of plant-life and totem poles from the hotel’s private collection sourced from Papua New Guinea -a testament to the hotel’s commitment to art as a mark of distinction.
The Terraza del Urban offers incredible views of the rooftops characteristic of the architecture of the Habsburg dynasty or emblematic streets such as Calle Alcalá and Gran Vía flanked by the Retiro Park and El Prado and Thyssen Museums.
15 drinks to mark 15 years
Over the coming months to mark our 15th anniversary, you can enjoy the most innovative cocktails of our history, revived once again to bring you a unique experience on the top floor of Hotel Urban.
Let’s time travel with creations like the Ellini, one of the most popular cocktails of 2005 with its original Peach, Liqueur and Champagne combo.

And why not throw it back to the summer of 2011 with Alma de Vino -made with red wine and strawberries, raspberries and cinnamon syrup.
Our special creation for this year is called La Niña Bonita and it’s made with Manzanilla Wine, Elderflower, Violet Liqueur, Aged Rum, Apricot Brandy, Lemon and Lime soda and grapefruit bitters.
